Hell Roarin'
Gulch

Stroll
back through time on the boardwalks of Hell
Roarin' Gulch, an authentic reproduction of an
1890's mining town. In addition to 35 buildings
carefully reconstructed from old materials,
about 15 free-standing historic buildings were
brought in to the Gulch intact.

Peer into
the windows of the past.

A bank,
general store, funeral parlor, jail, union hall,
school, two churches, Chinese laundry, mining
company, and doctor's office are among the many
buildings you can visit.

All are
carefully filled with thousands of authentic
antiques from early Butte and other nearby
mining communities. The drawers in the Chinese
Herbalists' Shop are full of real, original
herbs and dried snakes (not just the skins!),
and the containers on the pharmacist's shelves
contain their original potions. |
